Adrian Jackman

Adrian graduated in 1997 with an MFA from Auckland University’s Elam School of Fine Arts and has exhibited widely thought New Zealand since. His recent exhibitions include a solo exhibition at the Sarjeant Gallery Whanganui, from the Tylee Cottage Artist in Residence programme and a Solo exhibition at Bath Street Gallery. His work is held in public, private and corporate collections across New Zealand, as well as overseas

Jackman’s more recent work has developed a distinctive language of formal abstraction with a strong use of flat colour. Adrian works from digital photographs to create a palette of colour unique to a specific space and place. His work is a compilation of object files in the form of drawings, rendered from everyday objects; presented as a linear x-ray of the existing image like a three-dimensional science mode
